Every time my washing machine runs through the drain cycle, I must stop the machine many times during the cycle. After checking around the house, and talking with the builder of the house, I found out that no main drain was present, as it was not a regulation at the time of the construction. My question is, how do I unclog this drain, and would it be advisable for me to incorporate a main drain clean out. If so, how would I go about doing this?

I'm a little unclear on what your saying. Please describe the main drain in a little more detail, what does your washing machine drain connect to, how big are the pipes, and does it have an air vent?
