I recently ran a waterline for an icemaker in my newly constructed house. Two questions, first, will that waterline sweat? I am going to drywall the ceiling in the basement where that line is ran and I didn't know if I should use copper tubing insulation on it or not. Second, I didn't know how to attatch the waterline to the wood studs so I used these plastic hangers that are actually for attching romex electrical cable to wood studs. (they are a plastic "U" shaped hanger with a small nail at both ends)I know that copper can't come in contact with any other metal, but is platic o.k. to use". I made sure that there was not metal(nails) touching the copper. It's all plastic to copper. Thank you in advance for your reply. I look forward to your response.

The Line should not sweat and it is ok to use those plastic hooks, no need in insulate the line, not much water is in that line, so no need to worry.
