Adding a bathroom to a finished basement
I recently moved into a home with a full finished basement, with 2 bedrooms. I am thinking of adding a bathroom down here as well. my question is...where can I easily add it?
There is a sewer clean out on the south side of the basement, on the north side in a corner is the sump pump, and in the middle of the north side is the overhead sewer plumbing.
Where would it be the easiest to add?
The way it is laid out, the south and north middle are the easiest to convert.
Thanks

Not sure how much you know about plumbing. Click on or copy and paste the link below and it will show you what you have to have as far as piping for a bathroom. Good luck.

Easier? Hmmmm. You have to tie in to the main drainline of which there is probably only one going through the basement floor. There are local codes for the allowable distance from the main that you can have the toilet. Plus the fact that drainlines have to have 1/4 inch fall per foot for proper drainage.
I sent you the link so you would know how much piping is required to install a bathroom. Hope this helps. Good luck.

its hard to know without seeing it but in general, id say that you should worry about venting first drainage second then the copper in that order. Remember that the copper can be run in any direction so it can usually be run anywhere whereas the drainage requires things to be just so.
Hope this helps.
