Can I replace the dishwasher with a washer and dryer combo?

I am going to purchase and apartment that has in the kitchen a dishwasher. I dont really care for the dishwasher and was thinking to get a washer and dryer.

Does the washer and dryer combo (all in one) use the same type of pipe system, and drainage as one of these all in ones?

One thing you would have to do is run a cold water line over to the washer. Dishwashers are hooked up to hot water only. Next is the drainline. Most washers are required to have a 2" discharge drain with a trap and vent. Dishwashers are discharged into the sink drain and are much smaller lines. You would have to check on this. I also do not know what electric requirements are for a combo unit. Venting the dryer would also be necessary.
Watch this post for someone who may be more familiar with those units. I have only given you what I know about them. Good luck.

Thanks for your response.

I was just curious.

I was looking into the LG Washer and Dryer Combo. The current Dishwasher is a Maytag.

I can tell you the electrical conductor:

Below Ground Copper 220 Volts

Panel Type: Circuit Breakers, Panel Capacity: 125 AMP

I dont know if this helps

You still need what majakdragon said regardless of what you have.
