kitchen sink vent

I am putting a kitchen sink, washer dryer hook up in my son' s upstairs "apartment" and plan to connect the plumbing via the bathroom's existing plumbing. Will I need to add a vent? a friend says it is nessacary. Wouldn't the bathroom vent be good enough.

larryg, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Each fixture is required to have it's own vent. The washing machine will need a 2" standpipe with a trap and a vent after the trap. Good luck.
