faucet noise

My American Standard single lever kitchen faucet probbably about 20 years old makes a howling noise when turned on.It changes pitch as handle is moved up or down.
I can feel a vibration in the housing.I have removed the aireator but it still sings.
Do you think parts are still around for it at a store like Home Depot or should I just replace it?
What do you think it could be?No leaks found and it still works just lots of noise.
Thanks for all the help.

Sounds like a gasket or "O" ring that needs replacing. You can check about replacement parts, some still have them as they didn't change design a whole lot. Broken gaskets, washers and "O" rings are like holding a reed between your thumbs and blowing. Very annoying sound. Good luck.
