Water pressure for shower

I just discovered that you can buy a water pressure gague for $12, and I'm about to install a shower on my 2nd floor. I was concerned about the pressure of water up there (there was a faucet there before that ran kind of slowly).

Does anyone know how much pressure you need to power a shower?

40 pounds whole house pressure is desirable, 60 is really nice and 80 is getting too high. Good luck with your project.
