Oatey Great White Pipe Joint Compound with Teflon vs Teflon tape

Does anyone know if there is an advantage of using one over the other? The Great White Joint Compound, to me, is easier to work with but I want to make sure that it is ok to use before I drywall the new bathroom in the basement.

Both are a good product. I use teflon tape along with Megaloc teflon thread sealant for added protection.

You should be fine with either application.
