Vent Pipe distance to Ridge Vent

How far does a plumbing vent pipe going through the roof need to be from a ridge vent? I believe that it should be 10ft horizontal from any opening or 3ft above. However, if I place the vent pipe 10ft from the ridge vent it is then less than 10ft from an attic blower fan. Any advice? I live in NJ and I think we use the National Standard Plumbing Code.

Thanks for any help!

I have never heard of any specifications for a plumbing vent to be spaced from a ridge vent. I have seen them placed fairly close in numerous applications.

Call your local building inspector, they have the final say. Let us know what the final rule is in this matter.
