Dishwasher Drain Hose

The corrugated drain hose on my new dishwasher is WAY longer than necessary.

Is it ok to just tuck a couple of loops in the space between the dishwasher and the sink base cabinet?

Maybe this is obvious, but no one else has chimed in yet...

Since the dishwasher must pump the water up to the drain, looping the tube seems like it could prevent it from discharging everything completely...which might result in contaminated water flowing back into the d/w.

Gee. this is an old post, I'm suprised it didn't get any more responses.

Not only is it ok to loop the hose, it's actually a good idea. Fasten the hose to the underside of the counter.
