Utility Sink Install.....Help !!

Ok I'm looking at installing a Utility sink in my garage next to my Washing machine. I would like to tap into the washing machine Hot and Cold supply lines and also the washing machine drain pipe.

So here is what I'm looking at.
1) Bought two brass splitters (one for Hot vavle coming out of wall) and (one for Cold valve coming out of wall). So one line would go to washing machine hot and one line would go to Utility sink hot. Same thing for cold.

2) Angle PVC pipe downward from drain at base of Utility sink and use T connector to tap into washing machine drain pipe just above existing P trap.

Guy at home depot said that splitting the lines should be fine, but I don't want to starve my washing machine. I will NEVER run the Utility sink the same time as washer, but wasn't sure how the brass T will effect water flow to the washing machine.

Any help is appreciated. I can post pictures if the forum allows.

I'm not a pro, but I seem to remember from somewhere that you can't tap into the washer drain line with another drain.
