shower diverter valve

I've got a Delta single handle tub/shower faucet, the one that has the "pushbutton" diverter valve in the escutcheon plate below the handle. We've had a problem with lots of water still coming from the faucet when button is pressed for shower. I've already replaced the diverter valve, and no help. It's been suggested that it may be the diverter valve seat. Is that difficult to repair/replace? Any suggestions?

Did you Delta OEM parts? or Danco?

Do a full rebuild on your faucet using only Delta brand parts; that will fix the problem.

Check for debri when you disassemble the valve; buildup is commonly found on the hot side of valve.
