new bathroom pipe size.

I am finishing my basement and adding a bathroom. The batroom will have a sink, toilet and shower. Is there anything wrong with tying into an existing 1/2 copper line to supply the batroom. Right now the only thing on the 1/2 line is the kitchen sink.

I don't see a problem with doing that but if at all possile I would look for a 3/4" line since you are in the basement anyways. Then you can tee off the 3/4 and have minimal interuption when the sink is used. I would also suggest getting a Scaldgard shower faucet. These have a balancing valve that keeps the temperature constant even if another fixture is turned on. Good luck with your project.
