No outside water faucet

We are almost at closing on our first house and during inspection we found that there was no outside water faucet. How difficult would it be to install one? We do have a basement and wood siding. I was going to post this in the exterior section but there didn't seem to be an appropriat place. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Normally this is not a big deal, especially if you can locate the hose bib near an existing cold water line. Unless there are unusual circumstances I would guess that plumber can do it in an hour or two.

Depending on the type of piping (copper, plastic or galvanized) it should be no big deal. If you need help with it, we are always here. This IS DIY. We can walk you through whatever you need to do. Good luck.
