found the leak now what?

Had a guy come out and do a sonar test to find the leak in my hot water pipe. It's in the breezeway of my garage foundation. The sonar guy said he would bust up the slab and replace the pipe 850.00. Had another guy that daid he would re-route the hot water pipies for 650.00 without connecting it the U connection? Don't know what I should do , if I re-route would it make it easier for repairs in the future? Is 850.00 to pricey, i'm in texas.

How do you know that price is too pricey.....have you ever done one of these before at your home?

Get 3 estimates from reputable plumbers.

Heck the pipe with the leak is on the edge of the slab. I could probably take sledge hammer and knock it out myself and I'm just a little lady. All that I would need help with is cutting and replacing the pipe. But I will let my fingers do the walking and find some others to give estimates. This sucks, now I wish i did take shop in high school.
