mains entering house

hi everybody, just wanted to say i enjoy all the information on this site. very helpful indeed.
my question is, my house has the blue plastic lines coming into the house. they run all the way from the water meter by the road to the house and thru the foundation wall. would it be beneficial to run 1" copper in place of that and how big of a pita is it. the line currently runs under the driveway which is ashphalt. and how hard is it to cut thru the ashphalt?

Replacing plastic with copper

The only thing that I can say is why? Is there a problem with your line now? I'm a little late on this thread, I may not know what the real problem is.

no problem

per se' just from what i have read that the blue piping can have the tendency to go at the most awkward moment. i'm probably just being a little over cautious
