Question Washer Dryer Hook-ups

How hard would it be for me to put washer and dryer connections into a utility room off of the side of my kitchen? We have hook-up in the basement, but it is damp down there and we have a perfect little room upstairs for it. If anyone could give me some advice on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Or if it is a major job,

About how much should it cost to have a contractor do it for me?

Practically impossible to say... You will need access to water supply piping as well as drain piping. It will involve ripping out drywall, locating supply and existing drains.... You'll need a vent system as well as a drain system.

If your utility room wall is behind the kitchen sink area... you've got an easier job than if it's adjacent to the kitchen and far away from existing plumbing...

As far as contractors are concerned.... again.. impossible to estimate without being there.....get a couple of free estimates.... ask questions while they're there.... and take it from there to make your decision.
