Insulating Hot Water Lines

Is it ok (and does it make much difference) to insulate the hot water lines in my crawlspace. Partially to save energy and partially to have it take less time for the hot water to get to the tap.

If so, what would I insulate with?

Hot and cold both would be recommended. Insulating the cold can prevent condensation.
I use Armaflex......it is like rubber almost and this other stuff that is like netting....just get it wet and roll it around the armaflex and it hardens when it dries. Nice finished product when your done.
