Sewer clean out machine

We own rental property and it's time to buy a sewer clean out machine. I'm looking for input on what type of machine to buy without breaking the bank. We prefer to purchase an electric machine, not a gas one. How many horsepower should we buy? Is there a better brand, etc?

Thanks.

I am not really familiar with name brands of drain augers. I have used them and always used electric models. You did not say how many rentals you have or how often you have use for the machine. Buying one that will be dependable will not be cheap. Renting was my best option. Could be yours. Good luck.

sewer machine

We would probably use one about 8 to 10 times a year.

Buy a machine at a pawn shop.

Look for Rigdid units first, IMHO. General puts out a decent, cheaper unit, but it would work fine for your usage. Spartan models are heavy duty with heavy duty weight on the main line machines.

Good luck...

General, Ridgid, or Marco.
