Garden Hose Crimper?

I have a crimper for air hoses and have found it invaluable for making custom air lines. I would like to be able to find a crimper for garden hoses but haven't been able to find anything. I have found a source for brass barbed hose ends but have been unable to find ferrules or a crimper for them. Is there anything available for this? Thanks

Not sure about the size differences, but you might check the automatic sprinkler section of your hardware store. You can buy a crimping tool and ferrules for the various sizes of sprinkler hose - and I imagine it could be adapted to garden hoses. Necessity being the mother of invention.

Crimpers

They are out there, but do you really need a crimp connection?. I was looking for something similar a few years ago and I found out the cost was more than what I was trying to crimp. What I ended up with was hose clamps. They are cheap and they work like a charm. Luck.

Yes I know...but clamps are so intrusive...cut your hands etc.
