Pedastal sink

We are redoing our powder room and would love to have a pedastall sink instead of a full vanity. It's a small space. One of the major problems is the pipe (i'm guessing PVC??) currently goes off to the left instead of behind. The stairs are behind the wall directly behind where the sink will go. Is there anything that we can do besides moving the pipe?

The space is 36" at the floor and 35 1/2" where the sink should sit. The only vanities we have found are either 30" or 36"

You will have to open wall and move pipe, thats all you can do.

I have seen ped lavys -with perfectly round pedestals - installed with the pedestal turned towards a drain in a side wall. I don't know who the mfg was, so you'd have to hunt around. It may take less time just to move the drain as mentioned above.

BTW there are some very nice (read: high end) wall-hung lavies around these days, as well as some fancy leg models.
