Unhappy weird plumbing problems

I am having a very big problem and I really need some help. My hot water is running at a trickle, in the tub, the bathroom sink, and the kitchen. The cold water is running fine. I just got a new gas hot water heater put in. I really need for someone to give me an idea of what they think I should do, your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

freshelements, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I have to think that since the problem is housewide that you have a valve problem at the new heater. Is the cold water supply valve at the heater a gate valve? (Has a round handle) If so, during the WH installlation, the gate may have dropped or came off. This would cause inadequate water going into the heater. The incoming cold water is what regulates the outgoing hot water. You may have to shut off the house cold water and disassemble the valve to see if the gate is functioning. Good luck and reply back with any questions.
