rough for shower

i'm constructing a moderately sized shower (38x55). i will bring 3/4 copper up to the final branch, then 1/2 copper to the valve and on to the shower head. i am considering an atypical valve placement. placing the valve on a 55inch side wall and the shower head on the adjacent 38inch end wall allows for the easiest temperature/volume adjustment without getting in the shower. this placement also introduces 2 extra elbows and more pipe after the valve. i'm wondering if the trade off for the control convienence is worth possible flow reduction due to extra plumbing. thanks for the help.

Shouldn't have any trouble with flow reduction in your situation.
