Is their a way to control a water pump remotley?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to control a water pump remotley. Basically, i work for a theatre, and we desire the effect of water streaming down a window. The water will trickle down the window, into a trough and be pumped up to above the window where holes in hose deliver this trickling effect. However the pump needs to be turned on off stage about 20 ft away. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Thanks!

Just use a switch on the stage and run a "temporary" electrical line to the pump.

A water timer or electric timer might be used, too.
