bathtub has sewage coming into it?

I was away for a few days and when I arrived home, my kitchen sink was stopped up and bathtub had sewage. What do I do and what is going on? I thank you for any information on my problem.

wizardcleanteam, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Was ANYONE at your home while you were gone? There has to be a cause but we need to know the possibilities. Your local utility may have flushed sewer lines and they backed up into your house. Can you check with neighbors to see if this is an isolated problem?
Let us know the possibilities and we can work on the solution. Good luck.

I'm on the 1st floor of a 4-storey condo.

Few months back I had all sorts of crap coming back up thru the kistchen sink.It was caused by a partial blockage in the main drain pipe between my floor and the basement/undergound.

It seems that whenever the floors above drained their sink/ran their dishwasher etc...the main drain couldn't take it away fast enough so it backed up into the lowest outlet point.

Not sure if this applies in your situation...but good luck.
