Question Drain Piping

My drain drain line had broken and fell to the ground under a house that is on pillars. I picked them up and tried to slope them toward the main drain. The washing machine is backing up as a result. Water is even coming out of the vent pipe; which is at least 8 feet off the ground. Is it possible that improper sloping could cause that much of a back-up?

There sounds like there is something else going on besides what you describe. I would replace the piping and inspect either end of system to see if anything is obstructing the line.
