Location of piping

Is it possible to tell where my drain pipe runs under my slab of concrete. I need to know where it runs in a room inorder to tap into it. Anyway of doing this. Perhaps there is a rule that all plumbers follow. This is on a septic tank too.

Just outside the house, there should be a clean-out plug. Do a visual line from the clean-out to the nearest toilet. Behind that toilet should be the main drain. USUALLY, the main drain runs in a straight line between the two points. You could also check the inspection office near you for a set of your house inspection prints. Good luck.
