Question Piping choice for water conditioner

Hi folks,
I have a General Ionics water conditioner and it is right up against our water heater. About a year ago I had a repair man come out and do some needed repairs. He told me that the way it was put in was against code because the brime tank was right in front of the furnace, which he moved to the other side of the room. I would like to move the conditioner itself to the other side also. My question is can I use cpvc piping or should I use copper? A guy at work says I should use copper.

cpvc

CPVC is fine. Follow the instructions and you will be fine. Lots of luck.

Either one will work in your application, I would stick to what is already in the home.
