Replacing Fixtures

We have a shower and a whirlpool with Delta faucets. You know the kind that has a clear plastic cut glass look. I can't stand them and I would like my husband to put something else in when he remodels but he says he would have to get a plumber and tear the wall out because the piping won't line up and they are soldered together. Is there anyway around this?

and ask if you can use alternate trim (the stuff that you see) on this faucet. Chances are good that you can.

Funny that was my husbands suggestion this morning. I think I'll have to call them because their website just confused me. Thank you for answering my thread.
