Water Pressure Issue

I used a pressure gauge to test the psi on the hot and cold faucets assigned for the washer. The needle barely got up to 5psi. All the washers ask for no less than 20psi... Can a water pressure pump be installed. The house has a tankless water heater. (peerless furnace)

Thanks for any advice...

Are you on city water or private well?

Sounds like an incorrect reading....otherwise you would be complaining of this inadequate pressure before the application of a second floor laundry facility.

Let us know...

Water Pressure...

I have a spring house... so it's gravity that brings the water down the hill and up to the second floor. A low psi is understandable in this case? Right?

Do you like have a Mother Earth News type house...spring water flowing in..outside shower rigged up...earth bermed house...old water tank gutted out to be used as water holding tank, etc.? Just curious.

Explain more about your spring water set up; how it works.

explaining spring house

Spring house, pretty much an enclosed shed with a 5x6x6 foot cement box filled with water... water runs down through a 2"pipe into the basement, then goes through furnace for hot water, and faucets, etc.

No, mother nature news type house or outside shower (could be nice), or gutted water tank used as a holding tank...
