New bathroom venting issue
I have a 45 year old bungalow with an unfinished basement. I am planning on installing a new bathroom and laundry in the basement. the only vent I can find is the main 4 inch cast iron stack. I am trying to avoid messing with that as much as I can. I know eventually I am going to have to tee off of it so I can connect my PVC drains to it. But I was thinking of running a new PVC vent right through the roof and down to the basement. What size of pipe should I use? It will need to vent a toilet, sink, tub, and washer....
thanks in advance!

vent
thezster is right, 2in. minimum, you can't tie a vent into a stack unless you are 6in. above the highest fixture connected. Lots of luck.

I wouldn't mind tying in, but the vent is cast iron and that sounds like moe work than running a new ABS out the roof....
