1/2" to 3/4" Copper Pipe

I am refinishing the basement and need to move the cold water line. It is presently 1/2". Would it be more advantageous to replace the 1/2" copper with 3/4". Thanks.

Only if you are having trouble getting sufficent water now. It will not do any good if there is any 1/2 inch pipe before it, no bottle necks. Usually 1/2 inch is sufficent unless you have a situation where you are supporting multiple water users. An example of this is my in-laws home. It is plumbed with 3/4 inch plumbing but it has 3 bathrooms and on occasion all 3 baths are on at the same time. This usually happens when we are down to visit and have all been working in the yard.
