Question Drain height for front loader washing machine

We are in the process of changing from a top-load washing machine to a front-loader. Our current drain height is approx. 31" up from the floor. Also, our new front-loader will be sitting on a pedestal base (15" high). Will our current drain be of sufficient height for the front loader (on pedestal) to drain correctly, or do we have to raise the height of the standpipe?

More than likely, you're fine. I'm saying this as a consumer rather than a DIY'er (though I'm certainly one of those). I cannot imagine front loaders requiring a different drain height than top loaders - otherwise every consumer who bought one would be faced with replumbing their laundry rooms - a very, very unlikely scenario from the manufacturers point of view.

Check the manufacturers installation manual to be sure - but I would think you're just fine with your standard equipment.
