Red face Annoyingly low water pressure

Hello everyone!

I have really low water pressure throughtout my house, on every faucet, cold or hot.

It has been like this since I moved in, last summer.

I have yet to get a flow reading, but it takes forever to fill a sink, or tub, and I think the low pressure is effecting the way the dishwasher operates.

I checked my main shut off valve which is nicely located in a closet in a bedroom, and it is fully open.

Any suggestions on how I can increase the pressure? I've heard of boost type pumps, do these things work?

update:

Had the city come out to check pressure. He got 42PSI coming out the front water spicket. He said that was normal. Must be normal for him, but it still seems to weak. I want more pressure dangit.

Has anyone had one of the boost pumps installed? Do they work?

I have city water, no well.
