Copper - Black Pipe ??

I am doing a project using 1/2 inch black pipe nipples. I'm making series of 7 hangers. No water or pressure involved.
Will a threaded black pipe screw into a copper flange?
Similar OD's ??
Same threading??

Thanks much.

I dont know of a copper floor flange. If they have one. Does it say like 1/2" FPT. Then it should fit

Ed, When I asked the question I assumed (I know) they made such an animal. I thought I have seen one before. I couldn't find one. I did re-thread the pipes myself and I was able to use the regular flanges.
In case you wonder why I couldn't get them to work is because I have an 8 inch nipple going thru a 2X4 and want it held from the back. I wanted the flange screwed neatly to the 2X4. Threading the nipple through the back of the flange didn't work due to pipe threading what it is. After getting a thread or two to bite the rest was just leverage. Looks great.
Thanks again.
