Question Rattaling Pipes

My pipes have suddenly started to rattle. So much so that it shakes the floor in the house. When i turn off the water at the main this stops. It has been isolated to be coming from behind the bathtub upstairs (which was installed by the last owners of the home).

The house is about 120 years old. Could the age combined with the new installation be causing the problem?

Could this be caused by not enough air in the system to absorb the shock of the pipes moving due to water pressure?

Wink

Could be the air hammer trap up there is to small. Sometimes if you can like shut off the water and drain it out of the pipes going up to the top floor. Then turn it all back on. This will drain out some air hammer traps for you
