New kitchen sink drain does not line up

Today, I had a new kitchen countertop installed. Since the sink is now mounted underneath, I also got a new sink as part of the package.

Unfortunately, the new sink drain does not align with the existing plumbing.

The center of the new sink drain is about 1.25" farther from the wall than the existing drain.

If possible, I would like to avoid getting involved with cutting the pipes and soldering. The old sink was attached to the existing plumbing with PVC.

Any ideas? I hope this is descriptive enough.

Thanks

You mention drain. You mention PVC. But you also mention copper/sweating, even though you are asking for help about the drain. Is it only the PVC drain issue, regarding it not lining up? I have yet to see any problem that is any where near insurmountable by having either the height changed some or the left to right placement changed. Since you will be needing parts perhaps from a big box store's plumbing dept., can't you just bring them a digital photo of what you want to do, and this will save everyone a lot of time in trying to guess as to what part of the trap or drain line that needs extending or offsetting.
