bathtub drain

I am going to replace the tub and have a cement slab flooring. I would like to know how to disconnect the drain & overflow prior to removing the tub. Thanks

Although you have a slab, you should have a 12 x 14" box cut in the slab where the drain is located. It is always best to be able to access this from the wall opposite the drain (from the adjacent room). Is this possible? Even if you have to do a little wall repair, it will be worth the trouble.
