Garbage Disposal Choices

I want to install a new garbage disposal in our house. I'm looking at either insinkerator or kenmore (knowing that likely insinkerator makes these too!)

One question I have - I know that insinkerator uses plastic grinding chambers in their cheaper models, and stainless in their higher end models - is this an issue?

I'm looking at the Insinkerator Model 444 - 3/4 - comes with a good warranty and steel grinding components, but has a plastic chamber.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you pour boiling water down the drain where the disposal is located, the heat can stress the plastic. For additional info on garbage disposal selection, go to: http://www.nettally.com/palmk/GDmatl.html

Check out the Evolution series garbage disposals from Insinkerator. I've installed these monthly now and between the quietness and the stainless steel grinding chamber....they are money well spent.
