Water leak in main line

I have a water leak in the main line going to my house. After exposing the leak, I see that this is a previous repair using what looks like a slip fix pvc joint from the copper line on one side to a blue plastic line on the other side. The break is about a 2 inch crack in the plastic line. This line goes under the driveway and I can see where the concrete was hammered out and replaced, likely when the repair was made. Is this the best way to repair? I am going to jack hammer the concrete out and expose the entire repair. Is it better to repair with copper line and sweat the couplings? Thanks

Do you suspect the repair was good when made but now the crack is growing?

Is this way below ground?, and if so how did you find the leak and what was the clue you had a leak?

How do you plan to do all copper sweat when the one line is blue plastic?, or is your plan to replace the entire plastic line?, if so how long is it?
