Roast Beef in toilet

my wife dumped the crock pot down the toilet. It had the left overs from a roast beef dinner. Now, guess waht, it wont flush. I have plunged myself to death and nothing. Can you snake a toilet without removing the bowl? Any ideas?

Yes I realize this is extremely funny when it is not your wife and toilet bowl.

Borrow or buy a plumber's snake and snake the toilet drain. The roast beef has probably lodged in the trap. In the future, instruct wife to put leftovers in a plastic bag and dispose in trash.

have you tried sticking your hand in to see if you can pull the clog out ?

that would be my first step

second is use a closet auger , don't need to remove the bowl before using it

A closet auger is the correct tool for this job. A snake won't clear an obstruction. You can get one at a big box fairly cheap. They're designed to clean the toilet trap without marring the toilet finish.

Tell the wife that chewing thoroughly and swallowing is a better way to prepare roastbeef for the toilet.

(Sorry, I just had to comment.)

I cannot believe nobody has asked why she dumped it down the toilet.
