Hot Cold Bath Faucet

I had a hack plumber fix my leaky faucet. Now the temperature "moves" around along the dial of the faucet. One day i have to move the handle to the left (like normal) to get hot watter, the next day I have to move the handle to the right (facing cold) for the hot water to come on... Today i could only find luke warm water on the dial, there was no place for the hot water at all. Any ideas on what's causing this phenomenan with my facuet?

It sounds like either there is debris in the faucet body, or something is loose or not adjusted properly. If he charged you for the job, call him back, he didn't do the job right.

I agree - if you paid for this work, call him back and make him get it right.

i wish it were that easy, i've actually had him come out 2 seperate times. the 1st time he changed the doohigi inside the mechanism, the 2nd time he tried to blame it on my pipes/type of faucet

what is the mechanism that changes it from hot to cold, could that have something to do with it?
