Kitchen sink sprayer works, faucet doesn't, help!

Question Kitchen sink sprayer works, faucet doesn't, help!
I barely get any water from the main kitchen sink faucet and it makes a knocking noise, but I get plenty of water from the sprayer. Any ideas anyone? Would sure appreciate some help!

First check the aerator on the end of your spout, but then replace the diverter module inside the body of the faucet/
