Sweatin Copper

In preparing copper pipe to sweat I've got some pipe that when it was cut the wheel walked and left gouge marks. I've sanded it good, but the marks are too deep to be sanded off. Should I discard this as bad pipe or will the solder fill in these imperfections.

Thanks,

Sherm

Sweating copper

Dsherm112: If you have minimal grooves, not too deep and the fitting socket covers all of them I would not fret it; if you have any grooves outside the socket I would cut it off. Luck.
