Question Need to learn about Quest plumbing!!

My whole house is plumbed with a blue-gray flexable tubing with blue stripe for cold and red stripe for hot water, brand name, Vanguard. Is this Quest tubing or polybutylene? I just bought the house and it is 14 years old. There are no leaks. The connections are a large blue-gray screw on flange or nut, no compression fittings. Is this system safe, health wise? I am on well water with no chlorine except when I "shock" the well once a year. Do the law suits I hear about relate to system failures or to health problems? Should I replace my plumbing with something else? Any help will be appreciated

Results of a quick Google - Vanguard is a brand of PEX tubing - which I, for one, love to work with. (except for the initial price of expander tools)
