Leaky Delta 1400 Monitor Faucet
I have tried my best to fix the single handle Delta 1400 shower faucet. There is a steady stream of water coming out of the shower head. I thought it might be the shower head so I disconnected it and it turns out the leak is coming from the valve. I turned off the water supply and took the valve apart and changed out the rubber seal with springs. That was some advice from the plumbing guy at Lowes. I am frustrated now because I don't really know where to go from this point. Can anyone guide me through some other options.

Try going to www.deltafaucet.com and enter your model. They have parts drawings, tips etc. if you dig a little. I'm guessing that you used the RP4993 kit with springs and seats. Did you also replace the O rings that go on the legs of the cartridge? If water is leaking around one or both, it will work it's way up and out of the shower head.

Where do you find the Delta Monitor 1400 replacement cartridge? Also can someone post the model number for it, I tried searching Delta’s web site but didn’t get too far.
Already tried replacing the springs and seats and still leaks every now and then. Thanks.

Last time I got on the Delta site they had a "live chat" section, Try that. When I used it they were able to identify my discontinued Delta Monitor 1200 and give me the proper retro fit cartridge part number.
Good luck,
Tom
