Pipe around water meter

Have old "lead" 5/8 main to old 3/4 bronze valve, NOT taking off valve. Put new bronze 3/4 valves on both sides of meter (3 valves now-not using old one)..with new galv 3/4 nipples & unions on both sides of meter. No dielectric. How fast will corrosion ruin any connections? Mainly concerned about galv nipple into old 3/4 valve. Would it be ok to run CPVC unions and pipe from old 3/4 valve? (Staying with new bronze valves). Running CPVC rest of the way.
.........IF copper was run rest of the way, what would be better to use around meter?

Wink

Id use copper all the way. Dont know if you have electric ground wire around the meter. Might check code there about it for sure if you go with PVC for the meter.

Put in new Can a few months ago with a ground ran all the way to the entrance of water pipe. When it warms up will have ground rod in also. Thanks

Forgot to add...All old pipes around meter were bronze, as soon as galv started they were gunked up.

Never heard of issues with bronze to galvinized. Just with copper.

Thanks a ton, wasnt sure. The old bronze is clean inside still, actually could reuse if it was correct size.
