Broken pipe nipple Thread
MY Shower Head & Nipple broke away from the Female Elbow ( Inside my wall ). I removed the remants of the Nipple from the Female 1/2 "NPT Elbow Port , however there is still aprrox one whole thread remaining which has proved reistant to remove. Any suggestions on how to remove this thread ? Perhaps if i run a pipe Tap into the threaded hole, it will re-cut the thread and clean it up ?

In the end i re-tapped the hole with a 1/2"-14 NPT pipe tap. This worked perfectly and cleaned out all remnants of the old nipple thread.
While i did this I had someone support the elbow with a pipe wrench to avoid over torquing and bending the supply pipe.
