How to remove these faucet handles?

The faucet in my utility sink began leaking, so I was about to take the valves apart to see about replacing the seals. I can't for the life of me figure out how the hot and cold handles come off. There is no obvious screw or plastic cap covering a screw. It's a cheap peerless faucet and the one-piece handles are shaped like large L-shaped ice cubes (hard to describe). Any ideas?

I'm not quite sure but you may need a allen wrench to remove the handles.

Alejandra,
are you referring to the showervalve itself?
and are you trying too replace the washers
or the entire valve body?

Steve, If these are lever handles you are
describing,sometimes the lever(horizontal-
portion)itself just screws off to reveal
a set screw.or like the other gentleman
said alot of times there is a very small
allen screw under a dust cap at the base
of the handle around the back side where
it is very difficult to see.
good luck..
