sewer drain-tree roots

Is there a good home mix for disolving tree roots and maintaining the sewer line free of tree roots? If not what is the best commercial product that will maintain a root free line. Mine clogs up about once every year or two and I need to get a router to free. It's costly

the only guarantee is to replace the
sewerline,there is no fix for roots,
they will keep growing into the sewer
until you replace it.

well pump

my house has a well and the power went out the other day. my kitchen and upstairs sink and toilet will not get water coming out of the fixtures. all my downstairs facilites work eg. shower toilet and sink.what is the problem are the lines clogged or do i have to reprime my pump. would appreciate it much if you could help...thanks

installing laundry tub

I am replacing my laundry tub. Does it matter whether I put in piping between the tub and the drain or can I just use a flexible hose which goes into the floor drain? Also, I asked three stores and they say I don't need something to hold the washer water hose in the laundry tub. It seems if I leave it loose the hose will flop up and out of the tub. Aren't there simple clamps to hold the washer hose in place? Thanks for anyone who can help. I'm a real novice at these things.l
